Pollywood Queen Neeru Bajwa, who’s actual name is Arshvir Bajwa is enjoying her rule in the punjabi film industry these days. She was born on 26th August 1980 in Vancouver, British Columbia. She is a high school drop out and she has accepted this truth in a documentary film called Bollywood Bound. She was not fond of studies and was not having much interest in studies as well. Moreover she used to keep an eye on all the glamourous activities of Bollywood.
She always wanted to be a part of bollywood industry. So, to fullfill her dreams, she shifted to Mumbai.

She started her career with the bollywood movie named, “Main Solah Baras Ki” with Dev Anand. Later she shifted to the grounds of India Soap opera’s in 2003 and Punjabi cinema. She did “Hari mirchi lal mirchi” on DD1 and later he did Astitva…Ek Prem Kahani on Zee TV and Jeet on star plus and Guns AND Roses on star one
She was engaged with TV Star Amit Sadh. According to her they were living together and were about to get married in 2005, but broke the relation after spending 8 years relationship together.

In 2003, she appered in Kamal Heer’s song kainthey wala. She worked in many other projects of artiest like Rishi Rich, Juggy D, Gippy Grewal etc. She also worked in Atif Aslam’s song “hum kis gali ja rahe hain”. After so many years in 2010, she was again featured in a lead role in bollywood movie Prince. In that movie, she acted opposite to Vivek Oberoi.

In 2004, she started her career with punjabi cinema and she did her debut “Asa Nu Maan Watna Da” opposite to Harbhajan Maan. After doing few more films with her she was seen on screen with many other Punjabi filmstars like Amrinder Gill, Gippy Grewal, Jimmy Shergill, Diljit Dosanjh, Tarun Khanna.

Her next venture “Jatt & Juliet” is almost ready to hit the big screens. Later “Jatt Romantic and “Pinky Mogewali” are also on the track.

Rupinder Grewal who is very well known as Gippy Grewal is a heartthrob punjabi singer. He was born on 2nd January, 1982 in the village Koom Kalam, Ludhiana, Punjab (India). This jatt sikh boy was a Hotel Management student in the initial stage of his career but his love and dedication for music, forced him to step in the Punjabi music industry. His desi voice always goes beyond the limits. Moreover his musical treats are not restricted to any particular genre.

“Chakk Lai” was the first debut album of him that brought him in the limelight but “Phulkari” gave him the chance to take his first step on the ladder of success and the track “Phulkari” achieved the position of being the biggest hit of the year 2004- 2005. After that, “Phulkari 2 Just Hits”, “Gangster”, “Nasha” and “Desi Rockstar” grabbed the titles of Superhit Albums of the year. One of his song “Angreji Beat” which he done in collaboration with Honey Singh for one of his album called “International Villager” released in the year 2011 was the best beat number and it is now being featured in the upcoming bollywood movie “Cocktail”, starring Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone.

In the year 2010, Gippy started his acting career by playing the role of a supportive actor in the superhit movie “Mel Karade Rabba” starring Jimmy Shergill and Neeru Bajwa. Later he played the lead role with Diljit Dosanjh in “Jihne Mera Dil Luteya” which resulted in house full shows and it had broken all the big records being the biggest hit in the Punjabi film industry. His recent movie was Mirza- The Untold Story which was released in April 2012. His future venture consists of “Carry On Jatta” with the bollywood film actress Mahie Gill and “Best of Luck” opposite to Simran Mundi. “Best of Luck” is an upcoming Punjabi film debut by Jazzy Bains.

Gippy Grewal is the favorite among youngsters and is having a huge fan following throughout the world.

Diljit Singh Dosanjh is the heartthrob choice of music lovers. He is a young Punjabi singer who belongs to jatt sikh family and was born on 6th january 1984 in the village Dosanjh Kalan, near Phagwara, Punjab. He spent his tender age in the village and later the family shifted to Ludhiana where he did his schooling.

Diljit got his musical guidance from S. Gobinder Singh Allampuri Ji, Prof. Kartar Singh Ji, Hari Dutt Shsrma Ji (Principal of Dosanjh College) Daljit Dhurkatia.
S. Rajinder Singh gave him the first break in his own music company known as Finetone.

T-Series released his first debut album “Ishq Da Uda Ada”. Diljit was so much fond of music since his childhood His first album got the huge success and the album became super hit. Later came the album called “Dil” that has given hit tracks at that time. One of the song named “Dil Sade Naal Lala” was a must played track in the weddings and parties during that time. His album “Smile” was the best selling album in the year 2005. It gave a superb dancing number to the youth which became popular as “ Nachdiyan Aalarhan Kuwariyaa”. Later “Ishq ho gaya” came up in a romantic blend. This has given famous tracks like “Ishq ho gaya” and “Daaka”.

His fans love to call Diljit as “Dancing machine” as he really rocks while he performs on stage. “Panga” & “Lak 28 Kudi Da” are entitled as the best successful songs in his singing career. “Panga” belongs to the album “The Next Level”,which itself was a blockbuster and was also the best selling album of the year 2009.

Crowned with the title of one of the melodious singer, an amazing actor, a creative composer as well as an outstanding writer and much more, the living legend Gurdas Maan is ruling the hearts of people world wide. This brightening star of Punjabi cinema was born on 4th July in the year 1957 in the village Giddarbaha of Muktsar District in Eastern Punjab, India. After finishing up with his education in the DAV College of Malout, he was shifted to Patiala by his parents for further studies. As the city was popular for it’s National Institute of Sports, Maan was inspired to join the N.I.S. because of his keen interest in sports. There he received his Masters Degree in Physical Education.

He used to take part in the university youth festivals, where he achieved various awards for his singing and acting performances. He also took part in so many athletic competitions and won many medals. One of them is the bronze medal that he won in the National Championship. Moreover, he is a black belt holder in Judo. He came into limelight by gaining national popularity in 1980 with the song “Dil Da Mamla Hai” which was even written by him and was sung by him as well during one of his stage plays. Being noticed by one of the producer of Doordarshan TV Station, Maan was asked to record this song and he agreed to the proposal. The song grabbed the Public attention in the whole nation and the name Gurdas Maan got huge fame. In the year 1981, Maan released his debut album with HMV as it was so much attracted by the success of the song.

In the early days of his career, he simply denied for being the part of duet performances as he always wanted to become an outstanding solo performer. Even today in every concert, he always do solo performances. Gurdas Maan is well known for his contribution to the Punjabi folk music and for gaining international recognition. He pulled the Punjabi music from its root level and nurture it with his great efforts and made it world wide popular. In the year 1998, his album “Apna Punjab” won the Best album award at the Asian Pop and Media Awards in Birmingham and in the same year he was awarded as the Best International Artist.
Maan has recorded more than 34 albums and have written over 300 songs.

Being an actor, the performances of Gurdas Mass stunned the audience when the films like Waris Shah- Ishq Da Waris (2006), which was nominated for the Academy Awards and was the first Punjabi movie nominated for Oscar Awards, Shaheed-E-Mohabbat(1999), showing the real life story of Boota Singh, Shaheed Udham Singh(2000), in which he played the role of freedom fighter Bhagat Singh were released. Throughout his career, Maan worked with music directors such as Bappi Lahiri, Charanjeet Ahuja, Laxmikant Pyarelal, Anu Malik, Nadeem Sharvan. In 2004, he acted in a lead role alongside Juhi Chawla in a famous epic Des Hoyaa Pardes which depicted the tragedies faced by the people living in Punjab in the 1980s. Movies like Ucha Dar Babe Nanak Da (1982)Mamla Garbar Hai (1984), Long Da Lishkara (1986), Qurbani Jatt Di (1990), Pratigya (1990), Roohani Taaqat (1991), Saali Adhi Ghar Waali (1992), Wanted: Gurdas Maan Dead or Alive (1994), Kachehri (1994), and Zindagi Khoobsoorat Hai (2002) are included in the timeline of his appearances. He played a guest role in a song in the movie Veer-Zaara starring Shahrukh Khan and Preity Zinta.

Belonging to Punjab, he holds excellent fluency in Hindi, Tamil, Haryanvi, Bengali and Rajasthani. He started his career being an employee of Punjab State Electricity Board. He married to Mrs. Manjit Kaur Maan and they have one son named Gurikk Maan. On 9th Jan 2001, Maan was injured in an accident, when his vehicle was badly hit by a truck at a village near Rupnagar, Punjab. In this accident, his driver Tejpal died. He wrote a song and dedicated to his driver as he was also a good friend for Maan.The song was- “Baithi Sade Naal Savari Utter Gayi”. Again on 20th Jan 2007, Maan got minor injuries on his face, hands and chest during a collision of his Range Rover with a truck. His car was badly damaged. This was his second accident.
Man is an avid supporter of Liverpool Football Club, he once declared in a radio interview. Gurdas Maan is the name that first strikes the mind when one think about a soulful singing.

Jazzy B, the crown prince of Bhangra is the heart-throb favorite of bhangra fans and is famous for his ever changing unique spiky hair do’s . His actual name is Jaswinder Singh Bains and was born on April 1, 1975 in Durgapur, Nawanshahrin tehsil of Jalandhar, Punjab, India. He was moved to Vancouver, Canada with his family when he turned five. He is currently living in Birmingham, England. Till now, twelve of his studio albums are out in the market out of which two are spiritual albums.

Jazzy b’s all albums are produced by “The Music Man” Sukshinder Shinda,, who himself is the super talented artist and bhangra record producer. Both have done amazing work together and have given outstanding bhangra tracks like “ghugian Da Jorra”, “Londono Patola”, “Tera Roop” ,“Naag”, “Sardara”, “Dil Luteya”, “Soorma” etc.

The 2005 Balle – Romeo Tour was among one of the biggest tour of Jazzy B and Sukshinder Shinda which promoted their albums Balle and romeo at different places in all over world and it entertained a record crowd of about 65,000 fans in Paramount Canada’s wonderland near Toronto, Canada.
Jazzy B is so popular because of his unique style of singing and performing in this genre. Many of his music albums are based on hip hop music. His music videos are always very attractive and showcase top models, lavish lifestyle, Branded Outfits, imported sports cars and that is so much to grab the attention of viewers and to attract them.

Garry Sandhu, who is actually named Gurmukh Singh Sandhu is a famed name and an awarded Punjabi Singer. He was born on 4th Nov,1984. The early years of his life were spent in the musical environment, as he started taking the guidance of kavishri from his uncle, Gurdeep Singh Sandhu. He used to perform in the local gurudwara and from the spiritual way he got his musical track and he started his musical journey. Garry moved to Birmingham which is a well know place for Bangra lovers and it was the best place for him to grab his fortune. Garry was completely able to get the utmost exposure in Birmingham

As the studies were not at all a cup of his tea, his family and friends forced him to enhace his singing talent. He always was so much loved for his performances in private parties. He entered in the music world in the ending of year 2010. That was the time when his debut track named “ Main Nee Peenda was released”. But that was not upto his desires. He then joined hands with Dj Surinder Rattan and was introduced to Roach Killa, and they came up with successful hit track named “ Dil De De. Garry was later signed by GV and with his support, he again gave a big hit “ Brick” which has broken so many records and Mainstream Charts Worldwide were hit by it. During that time, Garry was found to be involed in Illegal Immigration issues and was deported back to Punjab.

Later, Garry was signed by Moviebox Record Label, which released on of his lates track “Ik Gal” in july 2012. Garry was having his nomination at the Brit Asian Music Awards and he also grabbed duo awards for being Best Newcomer and Best Male Act. Garry is still having the same potential for singing and his fan list is in increasing mode.
